"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" will feature a lot of new characters from the new movies in the series. This is what Electronic Arts' CFO Blake Jorgensen suggest at the Morgan Stanley Technology Media & Telecom Conference yesterday. Jorgensen said that the upcoming title will add a "lot of new characters" from the new Star Wars movies.
Players can expect that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be larger. A lot of new characters will be featured from the recent movies in the franchise, so fans may "expect some major Rogue One love."
Jorgensen also mentioned about how large the "Star Wars universe is," which he said that it "is just unbelievable to build games in because it's so vast." However, he did not mention the heroes and villains from the latest films that will be featured in Star Wars Battlefront 2, according to Daily Express.
Electronic Arts' move to include characters from the new "Star Wars" movies in Battlefront 2 is a wise move. Aside from its lucrative, the new game can also serve as a promotional material for the latest movies.
In line with this idea, Game Rant reports that it is safe to suggest that Rey and Finn from the film, The Force Awakens, might be featured in the game. With the two heroes in the 2015 movie added in the game, it would remind fans about the upcoming film Episode 8 - The Last Jedi, which will be coming to theaters debut on December.
"Star Wars: Battlefront 2" is currently in development and is due to launch sometime later this year. Early reports say that DICE is on the stage of looking at the bugs and content suggestions. EA has also confirmed that the offline content from the original title will be expanded and will take into new locations, play with more heroes and in multiple eras.
