The latest details for "Tekken 7" will feature Eddy Gordo in the roster and Lei Wulong, Anna Williams, Julia Chang and Zafina as DLC characters.
Bandai Namco Entertainment official confirmed that fan-favorite Capoiera fighter Eddy Gordo will be joining the roster of "Tekken 7", alonh with a new gameplay trailer for the character. Much like his previous appearances in the "Tekken" franchise,Eddy wields his own powerful style of Brazilian Capoeira, which combines the rhythms of dance, acrobatics, and music into a potent form of martial artistry.
As far as Eddy's story in "Tekken 7" goes, players last seen him joining Jin Kazama's forces in the Mishima Zaibatsu as one of his enforcers in "Tekken 6". Eddy made a deal with Jin to help his dying master, who also happens to be Christie Monteiro's father in exchange for his service in the Mishima Zaibatsu.
The problem however, is that not even the advance equipment of the Mishima Zaibatsu was not able to save Eddy's master and he swears revenge against the Mishima clan, Gamerant reported.
Eddy Gordo was first teased in "Tekken 7" when someone from NeoGaf posted a photo of several players showcasing his skills during a press event in Brazil.
The NeoGaf also claimed that game producer Katsuhiro Harada and game designer Michael Murray are also in attendance at the "Tekken 7" press event.
Meanwhile, several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible DLC fighters that might be included in "Tekken 7's" roster during its post-launch plans.
Harada teased Lei Wulong as one of "Tekken 7's" DLC fighters when he tweeted an answer to a fan asking if Lei will be added to "Tekken 7's" roster and stated that their is still a chance for him to included, however, he explained the usage for the character was very low and their effort was not enough.
With that in mind, gamers have speculated that Lei will not likely be added to main roster when "Tekken 7" launches and will likely be included in the game's post-launch plans, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
Aside from Lei, Anna Williams, Julia Chang and Zafina are aslo noticeably absent in the "Tekken 7's" roster and promos, so could this mean that Bandai Namco Entertainment will include them as part of the post-launch DLC plans?
So far, Bandai Namco has not yet made any statements regarding their post-launch plans for "Tekken 7".
"Tekken 7" will launch on June 2 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
