Google's Nexus 2016 release date plans appear to be already on high gear as the rumored Nexus 7 2016 tablet, likely to be assembled by Huawei, is said to come out very soon. And one solid indicator that things are accelerating for Google is the Nexus 5X now sells for only $312.
Over at eBay, the LG-made 5X, which is the smaller twin of the Huawei Nexus 6P, is up for grabs for only $312. Android Police reported that the offer comes with free shipping within the United States and buyers have the option to pick the white or black edition. Any of the two will be 16GB storage configuration, the report added.
Now in previous cases, Google or any other smartphone and tablet makers offering discount seem to point to one sure thing - the old stocks are being cleaned out to make room for the new devices to come. And as recently reported, the tech giant is lining up new Nexus devices that should start rolling out soon enough.
One that easily excites the Android crowd is the third installment of the 7-inch Nexus 7 slate. The first two versions came from Asus and rumors say that for the 2016 build, Google is tapping Huawei to do the honors. Experts said the Nexus maker was so impressed with how the Nexus 6P was made that it wants the third-gen Nexus 7 to be rendered the same way.
As soon as the stories came out that Huawei will take charge of the Nexus 7 2016 project, speculations on the specs and features that the compact vanilla Android tablet will deliver fired up at the same time. It is believed that Google, together with the Chinese device maker, is looking to produce a premium tablet with impressive hardware inside and out.
Likely to end up as the new Nexus 7 main engine is Huawei's own Kirin 950 mobile processing chip though are talks that the NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor will be Google's choice since the same was used with the Pixel C hybrid device. The tab is likely to boast too of up to 2GB of RAM that will ensure stable and fast computing task.
The 7-inch display will render in 2K screen resolution that highlights the Nexus 7 as a sweet spot between mid-range and high-end slate. Internal storage options are likely set to 16GB and 32GB with no memory expansion as the Nexus brand is known to be.
Android watchers are convinced that the Nexus 7 2016 release date will happen soon after the annual Google I/O Developers Conference either in early May or June with Android N or the follow up to Android 6.0 Marshmallow running the show.
