"The Last of Us 2" is rumored to have no happy ending and instead focuses on the feelings of violence and hatred. The upcoming action-adventure survival horror game is also said to come with a pregnant Ellie.

Last year, Naughty Dog released the trailer of "The Last of Us 2,' showing an older Ellie standing with her back to the camera. Ellie seemed to be pregnant. The image of Ellie was spotted as an Easter egg in "Uncharted 4" as well. However, the game developer has not made any official statement about this rumor and players still have to wait and see.

"The Last of Us 2" writer Neil Druckmann has hinted that the plot could be contrary to hope and love. Based on this, players are not expecting a happy ending for the video game. Druckman teased fans that the game's story line will focus on the feelings of violence and hatred. It can be remembered that the original franchise of the game was based on positive feelings. Joel lost his child but met Ellie when the world was burning, and she gave him a reason to live.

It is not clear what the story will be this time, but the fearful tone of Ellie's threats suggest that "The Last of Us 2" will be a story of revenge. The recipient of the revenge appears to be obvious based on the trailer. The game is still under development, which means it may be out late next year at the earliest.

"The Last of Us 2" release date is yet to be announced, but it has been confirmed to be to PlayStation 4.
