New updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature Thanos as a possible final boss and more details teased very soon.
"Street Fighter" game series creator Yoshinori Ono teased gaming that new information related to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" soon. Ono tweeted a photo of "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" promoting its release for the PC platform via Steam.
While evryone is wondering what kind of announcement will Capcom make for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite," it is previously reported that the sequel will feature a 2v2 battle as oppose to the 3v3 team battle from pass titles.
Game co-producer Peter Rosas stated the reason for bringing back the 2v2 format in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as he feels that players were encumbered with too many decisions before a brawl even began, as the team sizes are rather unwieldy, as the first and second character picks often were more important than the third, which is typically a tacked on selection.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature Infinite Stones to enhance the characters abilities during battles. The sequel will also feature a cinematic storyline, along with a number of single player modes like Arcade, Training and Missions.
In addition, multiplayer modes will include Ranked and Casual matches, Global leaderboards and online lobbies with spectator mode to deepen the overall experience.
Meanwhile, several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible final boss in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite".
Due to the Infinity Stones being featured in the game, many gaming fans speculated and theorized that Thanos will be involve in it storyline TheBitBag reported. Thanos has been featured in "Marvel Superheroes" fighting game as a final boss and a returning characters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 2".
NeoGaf username Ryce teased a a new Capcom character could make his/her debut in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" teasing that this one is a major villain in a Capcom video game.
Capcom representative Michael Evans teased the "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's" storyline will be the pillar of the game and the new characters Mega Man X and Captain Marvel will play an important role into the plot.
Marvel Game's representative Mike Jones added that the "core" foundation that Marvel made from TV series, movies, games etc. is the storytelling and so with the new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how the characters meet. It drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use in the game.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
