Tom Clancy's 'The Division' News and Update: Year 2 Brings two Free Expansions to the Game

It's almost year two for Tom Clancy's "The Division" game and Massive Entertainment is making sure it will be a blast. According to creative director Julian Gerighty, they have big plans for the game's second year and they are slowly revealing them now. Interestingly, these new content and expansion will all be free to the players.

At least two free expansions will be available in "The Division" year two. No details have been said about the expansions, but Gerighty said they want the game to be more rewarding. On March 8, a livestream went on air wherein, the the team revealed their plans for year two, committing themselves to a more engaging game for another 12 months.

In an interview with Gerighty on the Gamerant he said, "We are looking to reengage the players in light of the first year celebration for The Division by recommitting ourselves to the game in the upcoming 12 months. We will be delivering two separate expansion packs for the game free to everybody in the next 12 months."

The first expansion pack is expected to arrive in the summer and it will feature the the primary concept of "The Division" update 1.4. This update cover the game's generosity and rewarding options as a way of thanking fans for sticking into the game. He also added that the all new "The Division" year two will about new challenges for the players and options on how to play the game.

"Basically, taking a set number of activities within the game and adding a spin to them that makes players see them in a whole different light and play them in a whole different way," he said.

Apparently, Massive Entertainment is making sure they will be able to compete against the recently launched "Destiny 2." Tom Clancy's "The Division" is currently available on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC gaming platforms.
