"Injustice 2" playable characters have been growing in numbers since the release of "Injustice: Gods Among Us." The recently confirmed DC Comics characters for the game sequel will likely be joined by more highly speculated characters upon release.
Since the announcement of the sequel for "Gods Among Us," many gamers and enthusiasts have been placing bets on the potential characters to be added in the game. Recently, it was confirmed that game developer NetherRealm would be adding well-liked DC characters Doctor Fate, Cyborg, Batman, The Flash, Superman, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Robin, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy, according to Game Spot.
Additionally, obscure characters like Blue Beetle, Deadshot, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah, Brainiac, Bane, Black Canary, and Atrocitus, Swamp Thing have also been confirmed to appear in the said game sequel. Moreover, the aforementioned DC characters may also welcome the likes of Red Hood, Green Arrow, The Joker, and Black Adam could also be part of "Injustice 2" characters' list.

Dynasty YouTube channel based their claim of Red Hood appearance on the explicit mention of a recently published book entitled "The League of Super Hero Video Games," according to Event Hubs.

Meanwhile, the follow-up to "Injustice: Gods Among Us" will be released on May 16, 2017. The game launch will be both for PS4 and Xbox One.
