HTC is rumored to be working on a buttonless flagship smartphone. It may arrive as HTC 11, a successor phone for HTC 10 from last year.
Before the HTC U Ultra and U Play smartphones were officially unveiled, the rumor mill was also talking about an upcoming HTC smartphone that would be arriving without any buttons. It is said that the sides of the alleged HTC smartphone is equipped with sensors that can be touched to get desired feedback.
In the last week of February, the smartphone industry leakster, Evan Blass had revealed a leaked screenshot that was taken from an undisclosed HTC smartphone. The image shows a presence of a toggle for Edge Sense. Enabling it would allow users to setup Edge Sense. It has to do something with the contextual controls that can be performed by tapping on the edge phone of phone or display.
It is expected to house a 5.5-inch display that may carry support for a strange display resolution of 1,556 x 2,550 pixels. It is likely that its display would be carry support for a different aspect ratio other 16:9 found on many smarpthones. Like most flagships of this year, it would be powered by Snapdragon chipset along with 4 or 6 GB of RAM. It is expected to come with an internal storage of 64 GB.
The alleged HTC 11 is rumored to run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS along with the new Google Assistant, The flagship is also speculated to come with a Daydream support as well as a new Sense AI Assistant, Phone Arena reported.
HTC has stated that it would be releasing lesser number of smartphones. In this year, it has released only two smartphones so far. Some rumors had hinted that HTC 10's successor has been canceled, but fresh information suggest that the company may announce the alleged HTC 11 would be unveiled soon.
