The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus were unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and fans have noticed that the Moto G line-up has gone premium. According to reports, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus look pretty the same side by side as they come with almost the same weight.
Also, the size but if one looks closer, it becomes obvious that the smartphones are Motorola's premium handsets. The regular G5 is already sold out in international markets where RAM and storage vary depending on the region. It should be noted that the Moto G5 Plus is the better version.
The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus come with a pre-installed Android 7.0 OS. One of the new features is the ability to switch between open apps with the use of the home button. The Moto G5 sports a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core chipset while the Moto G5 Plus features a faster 2 GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor.
These phones have the Adreno 505 GPU paired with the processors and 2 GB and 4 GB of RAM, respectively. The Moto G5 comes with a 16 GB and 32 GB storage while the Moto G5 Plus offers 32 GB and 64 GB of memory. Both handsets can be expanded via microSD slot.
The Moto G5 features a 13 MP, f/2.0 camera on the rear and a 5 MP front snapper while the Moto G5 Plus comes with a 12 MP Sony IMX260, f/1.7 rear camera and a 5 MP front one. Based on these specs and features, it seems that the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are really Motorola's premium smartphones. The handsets are expected to be available on the market in April.
