Blizzard Entertainment has revealed the new playable character back at Blizzcon for "Diablo 3" in its upcoming Rise of the Necromancer DLC pack. The new character class is the female Necromancer that uses the cadavers of the dead enemies to draw a magic resource called Essence and fire their dark magic, restore their health, call for Golems, and deliver more damage to whatever comes their way.
The character class is inspired by the "Diablo 2" hero and the Priests of Rathma preserving the balance of life and death with the use of the bone and the blood-themed combo abilities. Those who have tried a new character attempted to use the class' newest blood abilities. These include Blood Nova, Grim Scythe, Blood Rush, Leech, Devour and the Blood Golem.
The Grim Scythe swings at multiple adversaries in front of the player, bringing damage and restoring Essence. The Blood Nova brings huge damage to surrounding enemies while Devour and Leech provide regeneration.
Leech attack transfers the health of the enemies to the player and his allies when it is used in the targeted area of effect. Devour consumes nearby dead bodies to restore the character's Essence.
Blood Rush will give a busting speed to the Necromancer moving almost instantly to a new location and it even allows players to pass through solid objects. The Blood Golem rune, on the other hand, calls an ally made up of bloody meat to attack enemies. It can be sacrificed to gain health and it will reform from nearby corpses when it lapses.
In addition to the Necromancers' new moves, they also have new Legendary and Set items that give them a unique identity in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.
"Diablo 3" Rise of the Necromancer DLC pack will be out this year but there is no exact launch date yet. Those want to know more about the DLC can check via the game's official forum here.
