The hype over the iOS 10.2.1 / 10.3 Jailbreak is on the rise. Reports of the current standing of the jailbreak for iPhone and iPad devices are rolling out.

Over time, many tech enthusiasts have learned to understand that the movement in the jailbreak community tends to come in fits and starts and there's inevitably a period of time where nothing happens, and the wheels turn slow, which is generally followed by a period of rapid progression where key members of the community tend to work closely together to announce and release exploits and tools.

Once again, this activity pattern has proven to be true, culminating in the recent release of Luca Todesco's Mach_Portal+Yalu iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak for select 64-bit Apple devices, and the subsequent yalu102 jailbreak for iOS 10.2 for non-iPhone 7 64-bit devices, reports the same post.

Moreover, a separate report shared that the Apple users have learned that Todesco has made it known that he is not going to be working on public jailbreaks anymore and with no iOS 10.2.1 jailbreak or iOS 10.3 exploits in public view, it's up to Pangu or TaiG to use the exploits they are supposedly sitting on for both iOS 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3, and release a public jailbreak for either of those OS versions.

On the plus side, the untethered iOS 10.2 jailbreak (Yalu102) is potentially in the works and it started about a day ago on Twitter, where a developer by the name of Lang Shi stated, "Btw my "untetherer" tool for iOS 10.x is almost ready, turn your semi-tethered Yalu into fully untethered with 1 tap!"

For the Apple users with iPhone and iPad devices, be wary if the devices are new. Also, because any jailbreaking attempt can void the warranty, it's not recommended. Since jailbreaking is done at the owners' risk, knowing the variables involved is of utmost importance.
