The rumor mill has slowly started revealing the new features that would be arriving on Galaxy Note 8. The phablet is expected to arrive with 4K UHD pressure-sensitive screen, face detection and dual rear cameras.
According to Pocket-Lint, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a codename of "Great" ant it bears a model number of SM-N950F for its unlocked edition. Information that has surfaced from South Korea has revealed that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones are reportedly incorporated with limited pressure-sensitive Super AMOLED screens.
Speculations are rife the Galaxy Note 8 would be coming with a pressure-sensitive S-AMOLED that display won't have limitations, Playful Droid reported. The Note 8 is heavily pegged to feature a dual-edge curved screen that will carry support for 4K UHD resolution. Such a resolution will allow its users to take advantage of the best VR experience.
It is expected to be driven by Exynos 8895 chipset that carries native support dual rear cameras. The SoC can support up to a pair of 28-megapixel image sensors for its dual camera setup. By this the Galaxy Note 8 is likely to become the first Samsung smartphone to feature dual camera module. Since the Samsun Galaxy S8 and S8+ are expected to feature facial recognition feature, the Note 8 is also heavily pegged to feature it.
The Galaxy Note 7 was the first smartphone from Samsung to feature USB Type-C port. However, the phablet had to be discontinued because of its faulty batteries. The Galaxy S8 duo is expected to feature USB Type-C ports. The inclusion of this feature may allow users to take advantage of the DeX, a desktop mode feature by connecting the smartphone to an external display through a dock along with peripherals like mouse and keyboard. Lastly, Samsung has promised its fans hat the Note 8 would be arriving with an innovative and safer battery.
