New details for "Tekken 7" will feature a rumored guest character added in the roster and Akuma to be the final boss in the sequel.
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that "Tekken 7" will feature two guest characters as part of their post-launch DLC plans. The two guest characters are scheduled to launch in the Winter and the Spring of 2018.
"Tekken 7" showcased Akuma in its storyline involving himself in the Mishima family feud. While the identities of these guest characters is still unknown, a thread on Reddit offered clues on who will be joining "Tekken 7's" growing roster.
According to the Reddit post, game producer Katsuhiro Harada wanted "King of Fighters" character Geese Howard to be part of "Tekken 7" roster. In addition, Harada also wanted a "Tekken Tennis" and a"Tekken Cart Race."
While Capcom has not made anystatements regarding the validity of the Reddit post, gaming fans will likely wonder if Bandai Namco Entertainment will be bold enough to get Geese in the game, let alone add new "Tekken" spin-offs a possible game modes similar to "Tekken Bowl."
Meanwhile, Akuma could likely be a final boss character in "Tekken 7" in the console versions as the PAX East gameplay featured him as the last opponent.
Akuma will have the same "Street Fighter" gameplay style in "Tekken 7" even having an EX Gauge as opposed to the Rage Art System, VG 24/7 reported.
The arcade version of "Tekken 7" feature Kazumi as the final boss character in game, even transforming in her Devil Gene form in the second round. Perhaps this gameplay video may hint that "Tekken 7" may feature two boss battles, were in Akuma could be a secret boss fight during the sequel's arcade mode.
"Tekken 7's" current roster includes Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Lee/Violet, Lars, Alisa, Lili, Asuka, King, Paul, Law, Feng Wei, Bryan Fury, Yoshimitsu, Nina Williams, Steve Fox, Kuma, Panda, Dragonuv, Hwoarang, Leo, Bob, Xiaoyu, Eddy Gordo, Miguel and Eliza.
New faces are introduced in the sequel are Katarin Alves, Claudio Serafino, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, Jack-7, Josie Rizal, Master Raven, Shaheen, Kazumi and Akuma.
"Tekken 7" will launch on June 2 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
