Speculations have it that Apple may unleash the new iPad Pro 2 models very soon. It may not hold a launch event for it, but directly make it available on its online store.
Apple has taken down its online store for a scheduled maintenance between 3:00 AM to 8:30 AM ET time. According to MacRumors, Apple fans are expecting to see new hardware once the online store becomes accessible again. Apart from iPad Pro 2 models, the company is also expected to add a new storage version of 128 GB for iPhone SE and a color edition for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Trusted Reviews reported.
Since several months, the rumor mill has been claiming that Apple may unveil new iPad Pro models in this month. Apple is known for sending invites around 10 to 12 days before it unveils new devices through special launch events.
The end of this month is nearing and there is no invitation on an upcoming event from Apple which means the company may either announce new iPad Pros next month or it may make them available on its online store without keeping a launch event. Since the site has gone under maintenance, it is likely that Apple may unveil new generation of 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro directly on its online store.
Several rumors have hinted that Apple may launch a new 10.5-inch iPad Pro in this month. This model is expected to feature very slim bezels and sport the same form factor as the 9.7-inch variant. Since it is a new device, it is unlikely that Apple will not hold a launch for it. Speculations have it that Apple launch the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro during the spring season or through the upcoming WWDC 2017 event in June.
The Cupertino company is also rumored to announce a new 7.9-inch tablet that may possibly launch as iPad Mini Pro. This variant is also expected get unleashed alongside the 10.5-inch iPad Pro.
