Mirum has acquired digital consulting company China's 3Ti Solutions as part of its plan to extend its services arm in the Asia-Pacific region.
The deal will rebrand 3Ti's three offices in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Xi'an as Mirum, and 3Ti CEO and founder Andrew Tong will assume as the China CEO. The new offices will collaborate with existing teams in Beijing and Hong Kong and WPP advertising firm J Walter Thompson China.
3Ti, founded in 2005, offers both local and foreign clients services in the scope of digital business, product design and development, and software and mobile development. It also provides internet and IoT solutions.
It has also designed and produced smart wearables and smart devices for office, health, and finance. It is also a strategic partner of WeChat that help bring e-commerce and social marketing solutions to brands wanting to create a business in China.
3Ti has about 100 employees and works with clients like China CITIC Bank, Mastercard, UnionPay, Ikea, and Oppo Electronics, to name a few. The firm's unaudited revenue for the year ending December 2016 stands at 66.8 million yuan ($9.7 million) and its unaudited assets at 40.3 million ($5.8 million). The takeover will allow Mirum, the WPP-owned global digital agency, to expand its presence in the area.

Mirum also has other offices in the Asia-Pacific region including Manila, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The partnership will increase Mirum's offering by adding an R&D capability that will help develop proprietary programs.
"3Ti and Mirum both share a long history of a culture of innovation and service of excellence to clients and this will only grow exponentially at Mirum in China," Tong said.
