HMD Global is gearing up to launch its line of cheaper Android-powered smartphones Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 in 120 markets during the second quarter of 2017. The prices, quality specs and other details have also surfaced online ahead of the release of the three devices.
Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Release Date
The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will hit the store shelves of 120 markets in a simultaneous worldwide release during the months of April to June. HMD Global confirmed this ambitious plans via NokiaPowerUser.
It is noted that Nokia 6 saw its successful debut back in the first month of 2017 in China. On the other hand, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 were officially unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in February.
The company's CEO Arto Nummela also revealed their plans to release software updates for the handsets. Nummela said that Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will receive security updates each month.

HMD Global also aims to offer a high quality but affordable Android smartphones for its patrons. The new Nokia 3 will sell at EUR 139, which is around $150 USD and the Nokia 5 is priced at EUR 189 or $205 USD. As for the Nokia 6, it gets a EUR 229 or around $229 USD price tag.
Features and Specs
The Nokia 3 will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and packed with a 5-inch 720x1280 pixels IPS display, quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor, 2GB of RAM nad 16GB storage. It boasts an 8MP snapper, both front and rear and has 2650mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Nokia 5 will run the upgraded Android 7.1.1 Nougat version out-of-the-box. It has fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage and 5.2-inch IPS LCD display. It has 13MP for its rear and 8MP in the front while having 3000mAh non-removable battery.
The Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch full-HD display, with Snapdragon 430 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and 3000mAh battery. It boasts a higher 16MP rear camer and 8MP in the front with f/2.0 aperture.
