Nintendo has released a new Pokemon Go Plus trailer that may have leaked a secret egg hatching mechanics ahead of its official announcement for "Pokemon Go." It is said to have something to do with the game's possible Easter Event.
What appeared to simply be a brand new trailer for Pokemon Go Plus has become more interesting for eagle-eyed who spotted a subtle change, particularly with regard to hatching eggs in "Pokemon Go."
As seen in the teaser video at the 1:04 mark, Redditors highlighted that Gen 2 starter Pokemon Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Totodile appear to hatch from 2km eggs, Daily Star reported. Check out the new Pokemon Go Plus trailer shown below.
But one gamer explained that to hatch the three Gen 2 starter Pokemon in eggs is not possible to do in the game. Chikorita, for example, is difficult to find and it only shows up in just a snap on the most top right corner of the screen. So, some players think that this change in egg hatching mechanics for "Pokemon Go" involves the game's possible Easter Event.
From the looks of it, it could be an accidental leak of another new update for the game, which is yet in the offing. As of now, Niantic is holding a special water event to launch the first Shiny Pokemon for the game, allowing gamers to catch the shiny Magikarp and Gyarados.
The Water Festival is currently live and will end on March 29. In an official post, Niantic announced that beginning March 27 at 1:00 p.m. PDT, players from different parts of the world could find Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile including their evolutions.
It added that a new avatar wardrobe item, Magikarp Hat, will also appear in "Pokemon Go" Shiny Pokemon event. Players would also get a chance to encounter some Water-type Pokemon first found in the Johto region, including Lapras.
