New details for "Injustice 2" will feature The Joker announcement next month and player choices in the Story Mode.
It seems that NetherRealm Studios teased new features in "Injustice 2's" Story Mode as the studio's representative Brian Goodman told Electronic Playground (via WWG) that building a story is the biggest challenge in any fighting game and wanted to bring something fresh and dynamic for gaming fans when it comes to "Injustice 2."
"Injustice 2s" story will have players make some choices that affects the course of the plot giving them different scenarious rather than a narrative perspective. Goodman also teased that gamers will be "shocked" on how their choices will affect story itself and will be intrigued on how it wraps up at the end.
The sequel's cinematic trailers "Shattered Alliances" already introduced players to the perspectives of Batman and Superman, as well as adding a third side story in the form of Supergirl.
In other news, gaming fans are speculating that NetherRealm Studios could announce The Joker sometime next month.
Gamers from the "Injustice 2" Reddit forums are stating that it could be an "April Fool's" like announcement with a lttle "gotcha" joke at the end.
That would make a lot of sense for several reasons. As DC’s most deadliest villains, how do NetherRealm Studios not offer some sort of Joker teaser or reveal on April Fools’ Day?
Especially since this is the last chance at that opportunity before the game’s release. It will be a hard holiday to ignore as is the style of game director Ed Boon, some feel that Joker’s arrival may be paired with a troll reveal for an anticipated character like Red Hood. The Joker may step out of the shadows instead.
Previous reports also revealed that Scarecrow could be next in "Injustice 2's" roster since he made his debut in the mobile version, and it will be a matter of time before he makes it in the console versions.
"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
