Andy Rubin, the co-creator of Android, has given a sneak peek of a new bezel-less device coming to the market. Sources claim that Rubin has admitted that he and his team are excited to introduce a new smartphone.
Android Authority stated that Essential is working on a new smartphone that would be better than the usual. Rubin posted an image of the phone on his official Twitter account, confirming that the said smartphone would have a bezel-less design.
The image did not only show a bezel-less design, it also revealed a button on the right side that is expected to be a power or volume control. There are speculations that the phone may not have a front-facing camera. There is a possibility that a camera sensor could be fitted at the bottom bezel of the phone, similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX. Rubin stated that he is excited to get the new smartphone in the hands of their customers.
"I'm really excited about how this is shaping up. Eager to get it in more people's hands..." he wrote on Twitter.
There had been speculations that the phone would have an edge-to-edge display. There were also rumors that the upcoming phone would have a new hardware that would feature a magnetic proprietary connector which will have multiple functions; as a charging port and to allow first and third parties to connect easily to the phone.
Rubin claims that the device for Android would be released in the market soon.
