Supercell has confirmed that the studio is hard at work on the next "Clash of Clans" massive update, which is set to arrive in the game soon. There are no official details with regard to what's coming in this big update but speculations are rife that it will add water-themed units, ships, shipyards and even pirates.
This latest buzz sparked among CoC players from an official Twitter account of "Clash of Clans" in Japan. It posted an image that came with the announcement of the balancing update released for the popular mobile strategy game at the said site.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted something that is located on the left side of the picture's backdrop of ocean water: a ship! It is noted that this sort of leak is viewed as intentional as this image comes from Supercell itself.
The addition of ships has been long rumored to be added to "Clash of Clans" but these were not confirmed until now. Not long ago, avid CoC gamers also had reportedly datamined water-themed contents, some of the ones also mentioned include pirates, a shipyard and other water-based elements. The rumors of such have not stopped since then.
Given that the image came from Supercell, it could be a hint dropped by the game developer for fans to get excited about in the next massive update. However, fans are advised to wait for the official news that will come out shortly to validate this recent development.
Meanwhile, Supercell has launched another event for "Clash of Clans" which has already kicked off on March 29. The Star Bonus Event grants players a chance to double the number of Star Bonuses for each match.
The game developer brought in a small balancing update for "Clash of Clans" earlier this month. It added new Air Defense Levels for TH 11, buffed the Hog Rider, Miner, Dragon and P.E.K.K.A including other well-needed fixes in the game.
