New details for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature a leaked October 2017 release date and two different timelines in the sequel.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the release date of "Red Dead Redemption2" as the Polish retailer website CD-Action posted the launch date of the game to Oct. 3 as the retailer stated that reached out to the Media Marktto confirm and an email response was provided that revealed the game’s distributor passed the date along to them to post on the pre-order page.
However, upon hearing the news about the October released date, Media Markt PR manager Wioletta Batog, emailed CD-Action stating that there is no confirmed release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2" on October, and that someone from the company sent a previous email by mistake.
This led to Media Markt changing back "Red Dead Redemption 2's" placeholder on Dec. 31. So far, Rockstar Games and 2K have not yet made any statements regarding the supposed release date leaks for "Red Dead Redemption 2" as they continue to hide its official release date from gaming fans and reddit users who are datamining for its release date.
In other news, its seems that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will likely span timelines in its storyline as a theory speculated that the game's possible multiple playable characters could have players switch between two different timelines.
Some of the clues which, in opposition with the discovery related to the voice actors, suggest "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be a sequel mainly include the level of technology seen in the release trailer, such as telephone lines.
It is speculated that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be a prequel from the first game and will explore the relationship between John Marston, Dutch and Billy Williamson.
With that in mind, It is possible that the two protagonists of the game will be a younger John Marston and an older Jack Marston, and the various missions will time-hop between the two of them, RDR2 reported.
The sequel will feature a much larger map, new playable characters, an online gameplay similar to "GTA Online" and a PC version.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
