New details for "Injustice 2" will feature new DLC skins and three DC characters added in the sequel's latest trailer.
NetherRealm Studios streamed a new character gameplay trailer for "Injustice 2" showcasing DC comics' most notorious villains Gorilla Grodd, Bane, Captain Cold and Scarecow. All four villains are part of both Batman and The Flash's rogues gallery and they are part of Grodd's new group called the Secret Society, acting as a third party in Batman Insurgency and Superman's Regime, ComicBook reported.
Gorilla Grodd is one of the new characters introduced in "Injustice 2" from its first announcement followed by Bane who first debut in "Injustice: Gods Among Us" as part of Superman's regime. Captain Cold was heavily teased in the sequel's roster as earlier clues revealed his signature Cold Gun. Scarecrow on the other hand, was first spotted in the "Injustcie 2" mobile app joining Green Lantern, Cyborg and The Flash in the console line up.
Meanwhile, it seems like new character skins for "Injustice 2" have been leaked online as YouTube username Rafael Lorenzo made a video of a list of possible upcoming characters, skins and DLC for the sequel.
First of these are the new premier skins based on the CW Network shows "The Flash," "Arrow" and "Supergirl," while the other skins are revealed to be Black Siren, Nightwing, Batwoman, Red Arrow, Bizarro, Wild Cat, Mr. Freeze, Shazam, Deathstorm, Black Beetle, Ocean Master, Blackfire and Arkham Knight.
The list also revealed the remaining playable characters in the roster such as Red Hood, Starfire, Beast Boy, The Comedian, John Constantine and Vixen. Spawn and Sub-Zero are hinted as the guest characters outside of "Injustice 2."
While the validity of the information is still unknown, NetherRealm Studios already confirmed several characters found on the video such as Black Adam and Firestorm.
Previous reports revealed that players will have to ability to choose several scenarios in "Injustice 2's" storyline giving them different scenes rather than a narrative style plot. NetherRealm Studios representative Brian Goodman stated that gamers will be "shocked" on how their choices will affect story itself and will be intrigued on how it wraps up at the end.
"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
