During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, HMD Global had launched the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. The new smartphones will be launching in the U.S.
At the time of the launch of Nokia smartphones, HMD Global said that its new phones will be released globally by the second quarter of the year. The word "global" may not mean all the regions of the world. A Tweet coming from the official Nokia Mobile account indicates that the Nokia's new phones will be launching in U.S.
Nokia fan asked Nokia if they have any plans to introduce the new phones in U.S. Nokia Mobile replied to his question, since the company plans to release the phone globally, it will be also coming to U.S.
Nokia's all three phones are running on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Nokia 6 is said to cost $230, the Nokia 5 is expected to cost $190 and the Nokia 3 is likely to be priced for $140. All three variants are said to come unlocked and likely to support U.S. LTE bands ,PhoneArena reported.
The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch screen with a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is packed with Snapdragon 430 chipset. The phone features 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It has a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery.
The Nokia 5 sports a 5.2-inch display with a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset. The phone comes packed with 2 GB of RAM and internal storage of 16 GB. it features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front shooter. The phone is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery.
The phone features a 5-inch display with HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek MTK 6737 SoC. The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB space. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel frontal shooter. The phone boasts a 2,650 mAh capacity battery.All the three phones of Nokia also features external storage.
HMD Global's Head of Marketing confirmed that the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3 and the Nokia 3310 will be hitting the shelves in between May to June. The company plans to be in the top three listings of Apple, Samsung, and Huawei smartphones
The customers will be able to buy the Nokia 3310 phone from retailer stores or through carriers. HMD has to say that there is likely to be difference in pricing from the once that were announced at the MWC event. This is due to the local VAT depending on the country, GSMArena reported.
