Apple rules the mobile device market mainly because of two things - the luxurious design of its hardware that for users have become a lifestyle statement and the satisfying experience attached with the software, specifically the iOS that runs the iPhones and iPads.

That Apple reigns supreme over its nearest rival, which is Google, is founded on the perception that so far iOS is the better over the Android mobile operating system. To back this belief are five of the advantages that iPhone and iPad users enjoy over their Android counterparts and are listed below:

iOS superiority

When the first iPhone was introduced, the device readily convinced users of all ages to pick up and stick with the smartphone. For one, the handset was innovative and beauty right at the start and it became prettier and more powerful as the design and features evolved.

The iPhone and iPad brands have been associated with aesthetic but for many, their relationship with the iOS devices is more about the experience, which is mostly defined by the intuitive functionalities and expansive ecosystem. These are qualities that unfortunately are yet to be matched by any Android toys out there.

Smooth rendering

Apple always takes pride on the tight integration between its hardware and software products that is best represented by how the iPhone or iPad behaves with iOS breathing life to the devices. While Android devices routinely suffer numerous issues, smartphones and tablets on iOS almost always deliver smooth as silk performance.

Excellent firmware support

When iOS 9 was released in late 2015, Apple dropped a big surprise by announcing that the replacement to iOS 8 will work just fine with legacy iDevice models. Case in point is the iPhone 4S that first came out in 2011. As iOS 9 is on its way to version 9.3, 4S owners are assured that the device will be supported though the final installment of the series.

And that would be five solid years of firmware support, characterized by on-time and consistent software update and upgrade, which unheard of in the Android realm save for the lucky few on vanilla Android build.

Best library of apps

It is no secret that mobile app developers prioritize the iOS platform, which is the reason why Facebook, Twitter and other popular but non-Apple applications work better when installed on iPhones and iPads. This is the way that things work for now and there is no telling when Android will enjoy the same.

And the best of Google

For Android users, what really matters are Google services and apps like Chrome, Search, Map and Calendar, which are not exclusive to Android devices. All iPhone and iPad owners freely access these privileges in the same way that Android device users enjoy and become productive with these applications and services.

So essentially, living and sticking with the Apple mobile universe users are certain to enjoy the best of both worlds - iOS and Android. But the same is not true for Android fans.
