"Red Dead Redemption 2" release date has been initially scheduled anytime this year. However, with the news of the game's participation in the upcoming Microsoft Project Scorpio performance demo, some enthusiasts are convinced for an early release.
Windows Central has been highly cited for the information concerning the participation of upcoming games in the Xbox Scorpio performance demo. Apart from the dubbed "Call of Duty: World War 2" sequel, "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been cited. This would mean that game developer Rockstar could use the event as a platform to update significant details about their game.
Up to now, "RDR 2" still lacks specifics, including its exact release date. With just eight months remaining, it is expected that anytime soon, more information will be released by Rockstar, including gameplay, character, and story details, according to RDR 2.
Concerning its release period, the most recent speculation has been associated with a UK retailer Base is advertising the "RDR 2" with a September 26 release date, according to Express. Along with it is a price tag of £44.99.
Although lacking any confirmation from the developers and game publisher, the release date has been widely assumed as a legit leak by most gamers. And such assumption has been supported by Rockstar's previous announcement that their game launching will be in the autumn of 2017.
However, it is still too early to fully consider the reports and rumors that are proliferating online. There might be some changes ahead, especially after the anticipated participation of Rockstar and their game in the Microsoft Xbox Scorpio event. Thus, suggesting that a much earlier release date for "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be announced days or weeks after the event.
Meanwhile, key specs of the Xbox Scorpio includes six teraflops of graphical performance power, 320 GB/s of memory bandwidth and 8 CPU cores. Having such features, upcoming games including "Red Dead Redemption 2" will surely be worth the wait.
