Apple has just announced the official name for their latest iPhone rendition, the iPhone Pro. The premium iPhone is reported to be released anytime this year.
The iPhone's latest version has been given a lot of names. Sometimes it was referred to as the iPhone X while others called it the iPhone Edition. However, it was commonly referred to as the iPhone 8 as a suggestion of the series which it belongs.
It appears that Apple has come up with a much better name of the successor, officially naming it as the iPhone Pro. This is the first occurrence that the company disclosed a major detail about its upcoming flagship smartphone before its launch.
It can be remembered that Apple has already begun rebranding a few of their products. Reports by Mac Rumors said that the company dropped the MacBook Air lines of product in 2017. The only two products that are left in the laptop product line are the MacBook and MacBook Pro.
The company has confirmed that it will not be releasing anymore additional updates for the MacBook Air. However, there are a few stores that still sell MacBook Air models. Actually, the same happened to the iPad Air where the line was discontinued while the iPad Mini is still available on Apple Stores, reported by Forbes.
The most recent announcement made by Apple in connection with the official name of the iPhone 7's successor is a highlighting fact that it has really started to get rid of the numbers in its iPhone lines. The upcoming iPhones that will be launched will highly be called iPhone along with the year it was released as the identifier, according to BGR.
It is expected that the term Pro will be included to its premium iPhones similar to Apple's iPads and MacBooks. It will be highly possible that people will have the iPhone and iPhone Pro soon as the company removes the identifier SE.
