The game developer of "ARK: Survival Evolved" has released a follow-up patch on its most recent update , adding some big flying dino nerfs. It will be out ahead of its release on PS4 and Xbox One.

The latest update for "ARK: Survival Evolved" has brought in many changes to the game and the biggest one is the huge nerf to the flyers. If one recalls, Studio Wildcard confirmed last year that they plan to gradually bring down the strength of the tamed dinos. So, this patch to aerial combat appears to be a major one.

The "ARK Survival Evolved" update v256 patch notes via the game's official forum shows the extent of the tune down. The air combat, which is a long time in the making, is now being brought along with with overall nerfs to stuff such as health, speed, weight and stamina.

There is a 50% across the board decrease to base stamina, excluding the moth and there is an increase amount on the per-level stamina. Also, there is an increased stamina recovery time for flyers.

The new update for "ARK: Surivival Evolved" doesn't allow the recovery stamina in the air if player is riding the creature or if the player is standing on it and there is no speed upgrade either.

Moreover, it clears the existing level-up speed stats and the points is given back to players for them to spend elsewhere. The passenger carrying weight scaling is made 1.0 for flyers.

The Wyvern elemental stamina cost is increased and the Riding speed of flyers is decreased by 10 to 30%.  The quetz per-level hp is decreased while a 3-second cooldown to Ptera barrel roll is added.

Patch v256 also brings an overhaul of total inventory menu to  "ARK Survival Evolved". Lead designer Jeremy Stieglitz revealed the changes last via Twitter

"It's happening! ARK v256 will have the first major menu redesign of ARK, as the Inventory UI getting a complete visual & functional overhaul," he tweeted.

Stieglitz posted an image of the new inventory menu, revealing a number of new functionality, updated right-click contextual menus and the improved organization for remote inventories.

"Ark: Survival Evolved" is an open-world action-adventure video game developed using the revolutionary UnReal Engine 4. It is available on PS4, Xbox One, OS X, Linux and PC.
