The specs of Xbox Scorpio have been revealed, but it looks like fans would have to wait a little longer for its price and release date to be finally announced.
According to Express, the Xbox One Scorpio features eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz.
All that is known so far is the powerful features the console boasts of. Microsoft is yet to reveal the price and release date.
Express assumed that Microsoft would likely announce the details of the console during the E3 Gaming Expo in June, taking a cue from a Microsoft statement
"We're looking forward to an exciting E3 where we'll showcase more games and experiences. We'll also be hosting another Xbox FanFest event this year. We'll have more details soon," the statement from Microsoft reads.
Contrary to previous years where Microsoft's E3 Conference was held on a Monday, it is going to be Sunday this time.
Express also suggested that eagle-eyed readers could easily spot some interesting price and release date details in the Digital Foundry report.
Also, Project Scorpio will most likely to run ahead of schedule, meaning fans will probably see it before the end of the year.
"Scorpio is seemingly running ahead of schedule, to the point where we're likely six months away from release at least, and we've already seen impressive software running beautifully on production silicon," Eurogamer reported.
As such, Express believes that the release date of Microsoft's Xbox Scorpio will be in October.
How about Xbox Scorpio Price? The Foundry report suggests that fans will have to pay a premium to purchase the device.
"As for cost, Microsoft told us absolutely nothing - but looking at what's in it, it ain't going to be cheap. Our guess, and it is just a guess, is $499, the same launch price as the original Xbox One," the report states.
