Fresh renders of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have surfaced. The new renders seem to showcase the final design of both smartphones.
After the debacle of Galaxy S5 in 2014, Samsung bounced back with two editions of S6, a regular called Galaxy S6 and a curved screen version called Galaxy S6 Edge. This year too, the South Korean tech giant is expected to reveal the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge as early as next month.
Evan Blass, the well-known tipster has yet again unearthed leaked information of the upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphones. This time he has revealed what seems to be final renders of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. The new renders are not made by some fan but it appears to be actual press renders that may have come from Samsung, Phone Arena reported.
In terms of appearance, the new Galaxy S7 smartphones do not appear very from different from last year's models. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to feature a 5.1-inch screen whereas the Galaxy S7 Edge is expected to be a phablet device with as it seems to sport a screen size of 5.5-inch, Venture Beat reported.
Both the smartphones will be supporting Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The display will also come with exclusive features like always-on display (AOD), andglanceable screen functionality that turns on only specific part of the screen for notification instead of lighting up the entire display.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge variants for North Americans will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset. Other markets are like to receive S7 and S7 Edge smartphones that is powered by the homegrown Exynos 8890 chipset. The SoC of S7 and S7 Edge will be supported by 4 GB of RAM.
For storage, both smartphones will come equipped native storage options of 32 GB and 64 GB. These smartphones are also expected to carry support for microSD card slot despite of featuring metal and glass combination chassis.
The backside of both smartphones will house 12 MP cameras whereas the front will be featuring 16 MP cameras. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge were criticized for its average battery performance. Speculations indicate that the Galaxy S7 will be arriving with a 3000 mAh battery and the S7 Edge will be packed with a huge battery of 3600 mAh capacity.
