NES Classic's production will no longer be available, Nintendo confirmed. Because of this recent news, many people who loved the system were alarmed and the issue had gone viral on the internet.
NES Classic is a miniature version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System that allows players to choose from 30 different classic NES games. It can be remembered that this has been one of the most popular limited edition items in the past months.
It was sold across many retailers Gamestop to Urban Outfitters and elsewhere, BusinessInsider added. Then many retailers became more interested, including Best Buy, Amazon and Target, as it sells like hotcakes. Customers came searching for the system and because of this NES Classics were easily sold out in every location. The high demand of this system opt some people to pre-order a lot of it and then sell it on E-bay with a price double from the actual amount.
In a statement to IGN, Nintendo explained that the NOA territories will receive its final shipment of Nintendo Entertainment System. The statement also contains an apology from the company and encourages those who are interested in trying to check with some retail outlets for the systems' availability.
Though there was no specific reason for the discontinuance of NES Classics' production, still many retailers respected the company's decision. But most people are hoping for another statement that will perhaps contain a specific reason for the discontinuance of the system's production.
Be that is may, no one could ever change the company's decision. In the meantime, as hopes are high for a follow-up statement from the company, what people can do now is to wait for further updates.
