"Injustice 2" is set to be released in May. While the core focus of the game would remain the same, certain improvements and changes would be evident.

NetherRealm Studios released "Injustice: Gods Among Us" in 2013. According to CBR, the sequel of the game would include features that would allow users to have more control over the game's characters. In an event in New York, the developers gave a sneak peek of what could happen in "Injustice 2" on both its console and mobile versions. Sources say that there would be a variety of characters involved in the game this time. As a matter of fact, some players are excited to witness a fight between Supergirl and Superman.

Not just that, one distinct feature that the sequel would be offering its gear system. Kotaku reported that players would be able to change the appearance of their characters in different ways. The system could also change a user's stats for them to build a character fit for their needs. Gamers who get to complete a gear set would be given special bonuses.

In an interview with NetherRealm Studios community specialist Tyler Lansdown, he revealed that as characters increase their levels, gears could be leveled as well. Users who play in offline or online modes could easily get gear drops, ability drops, and shader drops.

"For Wonder Woman it's her shield, for Superman it's his crest, for Deadshot it's his sniper rifle. We have some cool epic, rare, and common gear," Lansdown stated.

The release date of "Injustice 2" is yet to be announced.
