Leaked but unconfirmed details claimed the Xiaomi Mi6 will be among the most affordable Android flagships to come out this 2017, likely to sell below $500. But the cheaper price doesn't mean lower specs as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip is supposedly part of the deal.
And the beastly SD 835, which also powers the Samsung Galaxy S8, will likely be supported by RAM provision of between 4GB and 6GB that seemingly is the emerging standard for Android flagships this 2017. But more noteworthy on the latest round of Mi6 leaks is the suggestion that the device will have a massive battery of 4000mAh and basic storage capacity of 128GB, according to WCCFTech.
The same report likewise noted that with the leaked specs there are key things to be considered. Larger battery, for instance, will mean the Mi6 will be bulkier than the competition but it will also deliver extended battery life.
It's important to know too that with the 128GB internal memory there will be no expansion, which the report said is unsurprising at all as Xiaomi handset models are not known to carry the same feature.
Of note as well is the Xiaomi Mi6 display size that the new leaked specs said will stretch 5.2-inch diagonally. The dimension is close to the earlier provided screen size of 5.15-inch but there was no mention of the 5.7-inch screen size that likely is for the Xiaomi Mi6 Plus edition.
But while the screen size was shrunk slightly, the display resolution is set at 2560 x 1440.
On the shooting department, the report said the Mi6 will have a dual camera that is equipped with 12-megapixel lens and 5X optical zoom capability. And the 4MP front shooter should produce decent selfie shots.
As for the pricing on release date, this likely will be the Xiaomi Mi6's biggest selling point as the report indicated that the asking price per unit will be under $500, potentially giving the Mi6 the honor of becoming the cheapest Android flagship to hit the market this 2017.
