Nintendo has revealed the final two DLC characters for "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS.
Both characters were previously confirmed back in December, with Bayonetta having been the overall top choice in the Smash Bros. character poll. Nintendo held a special Direct dedicated exclusively to "Super Smash Bros." for the Wii U and 3DS, introducing Bayonetta from Bayonetta and Corrin from the upcoming Fire Emblem Fates.
Players can choose to play Corrin as either male or female. Both versions perform the exact same way, wielding the final form of Yato, the Omega Yato sword. Corrin's outfit and weapon appears to morph on the fly, making them a very versatile character when going one-on-one. It'll be interesting to see how Corrin handles a crowd.
On the other hand, Bayonetta, is more of a close-range fighter, with plenty of combos that make it dangerous to get too close to her. By worldwide votes, Bayonetta came in first in Europe and in the top 5 in the United States. She was the top-voted character that it was possible to negotiate for an in-game appearance.
The character will have two primary costume options: a Bayonetta 2 short-hair variation and a Bayonetta 1 long-hair form as well as a "Jeanne" color variation. Bayonetta's Smash arena is a variation on the Umbra Clock Tower stage from the first Bayonetta game.
Bayonetta and Corrin will also be joined by the final batch of Mii costumes, including an adorable chocobo hat, a bunch of characters from Sonic and more. Both characters move super-fast and have what appears to be a fun bag of tricks at their disposal, according to Cinema Blend.
Corrin will launch at $4.99 for each platform or $5.99 for both platforms together. The add-on will include two songs from Fire Emblem Fates. The 3DS version will also add trophies of Ryoma and Xander from Fire Emblem Fates. The Wii U version will come with multiple songs from her original games, as well as trophies for Jeanne, Rodin, and Cereza.
Bayonetta is priced at $5.99 for each platform or $6.99 for both platforms together. The add-on will include the Umbra Clock Tower stage from the original Bayonetta, as well as some songs from both Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2, and Bayonetta, Jeane, Rodin, and Cereza trophies, too.
The two final playable characters will be available starting on Feb. 3 in North America and Feb. 4 across Europe and Japan, Gematsu reported.
