Reports of upcoming high-end Nokia Android smartphones keep on surfacing following the success of the Nokia 3, Nokia, 5, and Nokia 6 mid-range mobile devices. Based on recent leaks, the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 smartphones will soon be released as the Finnish brand's flagship devices.
Nokia has experienced relative success with its mid-range releases. The company is now aiming to challenge the current leading brands like Samsung and Apple with its high-end smartphones.
The company is reportedly planning to release two or more flagship Nokia Android phones. The upcoming devices will most likely be the Nokia 9, Nokia 8, and the Nokia Edge.
Both the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 is expected to sport the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, according to PC Advisor. Both high-end Nokia Android smartphones will be released after the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have hit the market.
The devices will reportedly be encased in a metal unibody, each having dual cameras. The main factor that would distinguish the Nokia 8 from the Nokia 9 is its screen size. The latter will come with a 5.7-inch screen, while the former will have a slightly smaller display.
Meanwhile, the Nokia Edge is also expected to be one of the most sophisticated and luxurious smartphone, according to Netral News. This device is expected to rival Apple's upcoming iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S series.
The specs of the phone would likely include the Android OS v7.0 Nougat operating system, a powerful 23 MP rear camera, and a 12 MP front camera. The device is expected to sport the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with a large RAM size.
HDM Global is yet to confirm any of the aforementioned specs of the upcoming Nokia smartphones.
