The latest updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature leaked characters and a PC patch update for "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3."
It seems that new characters are leaked in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" as NeoGaf username Rikurikumore claimed that Capcom characters are returning to the sequel and these are Dante of "Devil May Cry" and Frank West of "Dead Rising."
These two characters debuted in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" due to the popularity of "Devil May Cry"and "Dead Rising" franchises. As for the Marvel side, Rikurikumore stated that the characters in the X-Men are added in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's" roster.
While the X-Men have been part of the "Marvel vs. Capcom" series in the huge way, many gaming fans believed that the fourth sequel will not feature much of the mutant superhero team due to the rumored speculation that Marvel will heavily support characters present in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Rikurikumore added that X-Men characters could be shown in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" during EVO or San Diego Comic Con. In addition, Capcom could be showcasing more gameplay at E3 2017, Gamerant reported.
So far, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's" playable characters are Ryu, Iron Man, Mega Man X, Captain Marvel, Morrigan and Captain America. Capcom representative Michael Evans stated that the plot will center on Mega Man X and Captain Marvel.
Marvel Game's representative Mike Jones added that the "core" foundation that Marvel made from TV series, movies, games etc. is the storytelling and so with the new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how the characters meet, it drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use in the game.
Meanwhile, Capcom announced some balance changes for "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" in the PC platform.
According to the Steam website, the new patch update will include mouse support for menu navigation. (wheel scroll functionality also included) and improved compatibility with DirectInput controllers.
The two changes coming in "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" are simply making the experience smoother controller wise, as gamers can now use the mouse to select in the menus instead of a controller, as well as the DirectInput compatibility being improved.
While there is no release date for the patch update, there is likely different teams working on the two features, so they could always be working on additional issues that could help. Netcode has also been a complaint, so it would be nice if players could get a fix that could help to improve that.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch sometime in 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
