The latest details for "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature VR gameplay support and the possible playable characters in the sequel.
It seems that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will feature a virtual-reality gameplay like its predecessors as Criterion developer Matt Webster told Eurogamer (via Gamerant) that the sequel could have VR based missions in the future.
Although Webster’s response did not give away any details, it certainly points towards something VR-related. For now, Webster stated that they are not talking about VR in "Star Wars Battelfront 2" at the moment, saying that it is a "story for another day."
VR compatibility of some description would certainly be a welcome addition to "Star Wars Battlefront 2." After all, the VR X-Wing mission for "Star Wars Battlefront" was a refreshing addition to the base game, and the PlayStation VR exclusive was a much-needed extra single player experience for the title.
Electonic Arts and DICE previously revealed that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will have a a single-player campaign and will feature an original storyline taking place during the events of "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" films.
The single-player campaign story will feature an element of player choice, as they presumably choose whether they follow the light or dark side.
"Star Wars Battlefront 2's" guplay will be more skill-based in multiplayer mode, with a deeper learning curve for players to experience. Aiming down the sights of weapons will also be more useful than it was in the first game
Light saber battles are now revamped making it more unique and versatile. Heroes will now react in a consistent way to various abilities such as Force Push, and the powerful individuals have been balanced with a rock/paper/scissors system that should make combat with them a little more interesting.
Sadly, the multiplayer mode will not have partner or squad system, but DICE will add a new feature that could replace it in the sequel.
Meanwhile, its seems that fans want more "Star Wars" characters in "Battlefront 2" as EA already teased the likes of Luke Skywalker, Rey, Kylo Ren and more in the sequel.
WhatCulture made a list of characters that "Star Wars" fans want to see in "Star Wars: Battelfront 2's" roster. These characters include Starkiller, Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Finn, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Poe Dameron and Mace Windu.
The sequel will have characters from the "Star Wars" franchise that are limited to the original trilogy, like the prequel trilogy and the new films.
"Star Wars Battlefront 2" will launch on Nov. 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
