"The Last of Us 2" release date will be quite a long wait but Naughty Dog promises that it will be all worth it. Recent developments about the new installment indicate that it will be packed with amazing improvements and exciting new features.
Game director Neil Druckmann even said that if everything goes smoothly in the development, the next TLOU game will display better graphics than that of "Horizon Zero Dawn". Talking about the Guerilla Games' well-received open world RPG, he said:
As of the moment, "Horizon Zero Dawn" has continued to top the charts of best game releases for 2017. It is yet to be seen if Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us 2" can do the same when it releases expectedly in 2019.
Meanwhile, the game director has also been keeping fans updated with the latest happenings inside his studio in his bid to keep the hype around the new title. Perhaps, he intends to also whet their appetite with some exciting gameplay that will play out in the game.
Via his official Twitter account, Druckmann teased fans with a new photo of his co-writer Halley Gross. The image shows Gross riding a horse prop while wielding a shotgun in one hand.
For the fanatics of the game, it is exiciting to see how the team and cast are hard at work in developing the game. But this photo is also, at some point, teasing a horse combat in terms of its gameplay.
Apparently, the photo was taken during the cast's motion capture shooting. So, it is quite likely that game protagonist Ellie or Joel could be shooting zombies while on a horse as one can clearly imagine.
It is not a first though in the franchise since fans already saw horseback riding in the original title. Check out the said photo with Gross below with Druckmann's tweet:
It is said that "The Last of Us 2" is yet on early stages of development since Naughty Dog is currently working on "Uncharted: Lost Legacy". Fans have to wait a few more years before they get a taste of many new experience and adventure offered in the sequel.
"The Last of Us 2" does not have a hard release date as of yet. It is developed as an exclusive title for Sony's current gen consoles, PS4 and PS4 Pro.
