The latest updates for "Overwatch" will feature six new maps, subtitle support and a bonus skin for D.Va in the game.
Blizzard Entertainment teased gaming fans that "Overwatch" will feature six new maps this year. Game director Jeff Kaplan announced in the official "Overwatch" forum website that they are currently working on three of those maps and all past in the initial testing phase.
Kaplan added that the remaining three maps are non-standard and also in the works as they are currently experimenting on new things for "Overwatch" in the following months.
Unfortunately, Kaplan did not offer any clues about what these new "Overwatch" maps might offer, though a recent interview may offer some clues. The game’s principal designer recently stated that the team wants to create characters and maps for every region in the world.
Moreover, gaming fans are also hoping that Blizzard takes care and have the time to consider all of the uses for the map. Like the Oasis map, players use cars to kill their opponent, which is an advantage to them, as well as the use of the jump pads in the map.
Aside from the new maps, Blizzard also teased subtitle support in "Overwatch" due to the popularity if the "Uprising" event.
The "Uprising" event was the first to have subtitles in "Overwatch" and they have some of the underlying tech and systems in place to proliferate subtitle support to other parts of the main game.
This upcoming subtitle support feature is just one of many updates that the development team has in store for "Overwatch" in the coming weeks.
Lastly, a new skin for D.Va can be unlocked by participating in the latest Nexus challenge in "Heroes of the Storm." The new skin is called Officer D.Va, which has her mech painted in police color and wearing a police uniform as well.
The skin can be unlocked on the second week of the Nexu challenge and must play five games with friend. D.Va is also featured the latest trailer for "Heroes of the Storm 2.0" fighting alongside Genji againts Diablo in Hanamura, Gamerant reported.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
