The latest updates for "Marvel vs. Capcom: infinite" will feaure new character gameplays and several game modes introduced for sequel.
Capcom announced new game modes for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" for both comic book and gaming fans around the world. First of these is the standard "Arcade Mode" with emphasis for "Vs CPU" options and a "Cinematic" story mode, which reveals the game's initial plot involving Ultron and Sigma plotting to take over both Marvel and Capcom dimensions.
A "Mission Mode" is added in "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" and will player do small target-based missions that will act as discreet tutorials for systems and characters. "Collection" will have a database which broaden the knowledge of both Marvel and Capcom worlds.
The sequel will have Ranked and Casual Online modes, along with "Online" lobbies with a spectator mode inspired by "Street Fighter 5" game, VG 24/7 reported.
Meanwhile, a new gameplay trailer for "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will feature six returning Marvel and Capcom characters.
These characters include Avenger members Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye in the Marvel universe joining them are "Street Fighter's" Interpool officer and fan-favorite Chun-Li, "Resident Evil" veteran Chris Redfield and "Strider" main hero Strider Hiryu from the Capcom universe, Gematsu reported.
Joining these veteran fighters is the Avengers' A.I. foe Ultron, who fans already know as one the central villains in the sequel alongside the Maverick reploid leader Sigma. Both villains strive to take over both universes for achieve perfection against humanity, going so far as to merge into a new being called Ultron Sigma.
Ultron Sigma in the game's story trailer took over Asgard as the Avengers and their Capcom allies team-up to save Thor's homeworld and defeat him, but they are easily outmatched.
Capcom announced that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will have Sigma as a pre-order playable character and a special collector's edition of the game containing our interlinking dioramas from TriForce of Iron Man, Chun-Li, Captain Marvel, and Mega Man X. The deluxe edition will come with a steelbook case and character costumes of Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X. All pre-orders, regardless of edition, will receive the Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes.
"Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" will launch on Sept. 19 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
