Sta. Monica Studio will officially release "God of War" for PS4 in September, if the latest leak courtesy of a game listing is anything to go by. This fresh leak follows several others indicating that the next entry to the GOW series will be out this year.
The latest leak on the release date of "God of War" or to others, "God of War 4", is currently making the rounds online, suggesting that the game will arrive to PS4 on September 14, 2017. Eagle-eyed fans have spotted this piece of information at the game listing of Portuguese retailer's website.
It has been known just recently that Gaming Replay now indicates on its official page the said release date for the upcoming installment of the "God of War" franchise from developer Sony Santa Monica Studio. According to game pundits, the date does not appear to be a placeholder, which usually shows December 31 of the year or of a specific month.
Moreover, September 14 notably falls on a Thursday, which is typically the release day of most if not all of video games in UK and in other European regions. But this game listing is yet to be confirmed by Sony or the Santa Monica Studio, so fans must wait for the announcement of its official release date sometime in the near future, perhaps, next month.
Recent leaks that have been circulating on the net also revealed that "God of War" will be part of the game line-up of Sony's E3 conference in June. It was in the same event last year when the developer debuted its first gameplay trailer and confirmed the game's upcoming release.
It is yet to receive an exact release date as an exclusive title for PS4. According to recent update from game director Cory Barlog himself, the development of "God of War" or what others refer to as "God of War 4" is making a significant progress.
