A fresh evidence hinting that "Pokemon Stars" is coming to Nintendo Switch has surfaced online yet again just recently. It is said that a Pokemon game for Nintendo's hybrid console will be getting an official reveal in mid-2017, which is aptly in time for E3 in June.
This latest development on the rumored release of "Pokemon Stars" is courtesy of news source Dystify. It took to Twitter to reveal that the Pokemon.com/hoshi website domain is redirecting to the standard Pokemon.com. What is interesting is that Hoshi is a Japanese word that means star in English language.
The source added that while it seems insignificant, it recalled that right before "Pokemon Sun and Moon" was announced, the Pokemon Sun and Moon.com/niji was also redirected to Pokemon.com. The Japanese word niji translated as rainbow in English served as the game's development codename.
So, this clue of sorts could indicate an imminent announcement of "Pokemon Stars" release for Nintendo Switch. While game publisher Nintendo has not made any official statement pertaining to the rumored Pokemon title for Switch, game pundits suppose that a Pokemon game will be definitely launched on the company's latest console.
The game could be possibly released as "Pokemon Sun and Moon" extended cut port, a completely new sequel or a side release similar to "Pokken Tournament" launched for Gamecube. However, what's proved to be most popular guess is that it will be Sun and Moon 3DS port for the newest console, with several fresh features to introduce.
However, speculations and rumors aside, there is not much to tell surrounding the anticipated development of "Pokemon Stars" for Nintendo Switch, although, the possibility of which, is not dismissed by Nintendo either. Back in late 2016, CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara told Wall Street Journal that the Pokemon company would develop games for Switch.
The closest time fans will be receiving an official announcement regarding "Pokemon Stars" or any Pokemon game for Switch is at E3 2017 come June 13-15. If it happens, it is predicted that it will be launched in late 2017 or around mid-2018.
