Tech giant Microsoft recently revealed the Surface Laptop that features Windows 10 S operating system. On the other hand, the Surface Pro 4 was unveiled in October 2015.
The Surface Laptop is said to have been designed primarily for students. However, the Redmond-based company may have missed one important detail - not all students want to spend a lot on a relatively underpowered Microsoft Surface laptop.
The Surface Pro 4 costs about $749. On the other hand, the Surface Laptop costs around $999.

The Surface Laptop has one camera only - a 720p front-facing camera for video calls, PC World reported. On the other hand, the Surface Pro 4 has two cameras - a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera.
The Surface Laptop begins at $999, and that includes a 7th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 128 GB of SSD storage and 4 GB of RAM. The model with a Core i7 chip, 512 GB of storage, and 16 GB of RAM costs about $2,199.
The Surface Pro 4 begins at $749. The base model comes with 128 GB of SSD storage, 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core m3 chip. The model with 128 GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5 chip costs around $849.
The highest configuration of the SP4 - with 256 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM and an Intel Core i7 chip is much cheaper than the Surface Laptop.
