HMD Global has already deployed the Nokia 3, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6, not to mention the resurrected classic treat that the Nokia 3310 2017 is. But the Finnish device maker is far from done with surprises - soon to be released are the Nokia 8 and the rumored all-screen Nokia 9.
The Nokia 8 was actually already previewed with the existing Nokia Android smartphones, thanks to a leaked video presentation purportedly sanctioned by HMD Global. According to GSM Arena, reputed gadget tipster Evan Blass vouched for the authenticity of the clip as it was the handiwork of a long-time Nokia partner.
And as suggested in the presentation, the world will soon see the Nokia 8 that will out-spec the previous releases from HMD. As indicated in the video, dual camera will be part of the deal as well as a feature that iPhone users can no longer enjoy starting with the iPhone 7 - headphone jack.
In a related report, WCCFTech said the same handset will have a front-located fingerprint sensor as among its flagship-class specs and features. But the Nokia 8 will not be the premium hero phone from HM Global as that honor was apparently reserved for the Nokia 9.
The Nokia 9 is nearly bezel-free and is designed as HMD's answer to the Samsung Galaxy S8. And like the GS8, the former will have a Touch ID-like feature located at the rear panel. The chance is quite remote that HMD will use in-glass technology for the Nokia 9's fingerprint reader, the report added.
The latest leaked details, however, did not include the juicy information to answer the questions: When the handsets will actually come out? And what will be the cash damage, which is expected to be in the pricy side?
But one thing is sure, HMD Global will be true to their word that all the Nokia smartphones will be powered by Android with near-Stock version. That means the Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 on release date will be the worthy alternatives to Google's Pure Android line - that this 2017 is rumored to launch in three models namely the Pixel 2, the Pixel 2 XL and the Pixel XXL.
