The latest update on the release date, price, and pre-purchase deals on "God of War" PS4 has been reportedly leaked online. A new demo and story details are also highly possible at E3 this June.
A eagle-eyed fan has spotted a listing for "God of War" PS4 at a German retailer's website indicating key details about the game. Lannister1909 has shared via Reddit what he discovered from the German retailer Spielegrotte.
It revealed that Sony will be launching "God of War" on January 15, 2018. It appears to be an exact release date as opposed to a usual paceholder date that indicates Dec. 31 of a particular year or simply the month and year.
The listing also provided that the Collector's Edition has a hefty price of $199.99 in German dollars. It is noted that there are no images of the product bundle yet but it is quite packed with lots of exciting items.
This special package will arrive with a nine-inch figure of both Kratos and his son Atreus. Hardcore GOW fans can display these statues to their gaming shelves.
The said Collector's Edition for "God of War" also include two carved sons toys figurines, steelbook case, exclusive lithograph print, cloth game world map and digital soundtrack. It is also packed with an exclusive dynamic theme plus a shield pack of three in-game shields.
Apparently, Sony has not yet officially announced about either of the game's pre-purchase deals, release date or price so far. It could still be saved for an impending reveal at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June.
Speculations are rife that "God of War" will be one of the major PS4 games that will make an appearance at the annual trade expo. Sony has already confirmed its E3 press conference schedule including the PlayStation Live coverage of the event, so fans should not miss it.
Previous leaks suggested that "God of War" will be released on PS4 in the month of September and in early 2018. Game analysts point out, however, that early 2018 sounds more plausible.
