Maxis may have intentionally dropped a huge hint at Pets Expansion for "The Sims 4" being secretly underway. Fresh from release, the Parenthood game pack has brought in not just new and fun features but it also carries a clue that fans got so excited about.
The Parenthood DLC officially launched on "The Sims 4" on May 30, adding a lot more of options available to the Sims players, with fixes and new items to enjoy. But The Sims team has offered quite a nice surprise to fans when it released the latest game pack.
Fans discovered a clue that is in reference to the long rumored Pets Expansion to the current title of the popular life simulation game series. Eagle-eyed fans apparently spotted that the new jacket featured in Parenthood Game Pack has an animal paw print design, Sims Community noted.
While it seems to be fashion statement, players took it as a sheer clue of a Pets DLC coming to "The Sims 4". That is not just it, however.
Another player saw a doctor's play set for Sim kids in the latest game pack. This piece of item interests kids who dream to be physicians or veterinarians when they grow up. If the children opt to become a veterinarian, they will be taking care of animals as patients.
Interestingly, just last week, Maxis game animator Dennis Lai listed in his profile his experience in quadropreds, toddlers, and human character animations. Lai came on board The Sims Team in August 2016 until now.
Quadrupeds is a term that refers to four-legged animals and this piece of information sparked speculations that Pets Expansion is indeed in the works for "The Sims 4".
Now, since Lai started working for Electronic Arts in August last year, it is suppoed that the animations for "The Sims 4" Pets development has begun in summer.
Fans should note that while there is no official announcement from either Electronic Arts of Maxis, the Pets Expansion for "The Sims 4" remains a speculation at this point. Now that Parenthood Game Pack has been launched, the Sports-themed stuff pack comes next for release this summer.
