Still unconfirmed by HMD Global, leaked details on the Nokia 9 Android flagship continue to pour in and the latest suggest of the final build and design of the rumored handset. A sketch that was subsequently rendered showed the Nokia 9 promises to be stunning and powerful at the same time.
The Nokia 9 sketch shared by Nokia PowerUser pictured a device with a sprawling front display with bezels found only on the top and bottom portions where the camera sensors, speakerphone and a physical home button are located. At the back, the clean panel hosts the dual camera in vertical orientation.
But the handset design became more pronounced with an accompanying render of the Nokia 9 in Arte Black, which the same report said was based on the Nokia 6 Special Edition. And basing on the hand-made image that came with the report, the most premium handset of the Nokia 2017 line will boast of 13-megapixerl main shooter with dual-LED and laser autofocus.
Also included in the package is a USB-C port that indicates the device is ready for quick charging. Notably, the Nokia 9 will lack the 3.5mm audio port, meaning that like the iPhone and other Android models the handset is going wireless for sound listening.
Earlier leaks also from Nokia PowerUser have indicated HMD Global will release the Nokia 9 with model numbers TA-1004 and TA-1005 with a dual-SIM model. The latter also hinted that the release is mostly geared to the Chinese and Asian markets where the ability to use two SIMs in a handset has gained immense popularity.
The Nokia 9 is also believed to mighty up thanks to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 chip and 4GB of RAM support with 64GB of basic storage, which are specifications that put the handset in equal footing with the Samsung Galaxy S8 in terms of potential performance capabilities, BGR said in a report. But if the details mentioned above are to go by, it's safe to assume that the Nokia 9 is likewise not lagging in the aesthetics department.
As mentioned, there is no official word from HMD Global regarding the Nokia 9 so the device release date is yet to be determined (though projected to happen in the second half of 2017) but it's estimated that the price will start at around $699 per unit. The handset is also believed to rock a near-Stock Android OS.
