Apple has announced the 10.5-inch iPad Pro and a refreshed 12.9-inch iPad Pro at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2017).
The 10.5-inch iPad Pro sports the same form factor as the predecessor 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Hence, in order to fit in a 10.5-inch screen on the device, Apple has reduced its bezels by 40 percent. Unlike previous rumors that claimed that this would result in the removal of the Touch ID sensor, the new device features a Touch ID sensor. The new 12.9-inch iPad Pro is refreshed version of the 12.9-inch original IPad Pro from 2015.
Both the tablets come feature True tone display that can adjust the color temperature of the screen depending on the lighting of the surroundings. It is available with a native storage refresh rate of 120 Hz and supports a maximum brightness of 600 nits. Their screens also support HDR video and offer ultralow reflectivity. The screen offers 20ms latency for Apple Pencil.
The Apple A10X Fusion SoC that features a hexa-core processor and 12-core graphics processor is present under the hood of the new IPad Pro tablets, Apple Newsroom reported. Both the tablets can run for up to 10 hours on a single charge. These tablets also feature fast charging capabilities.
The iPhone 7's 12-megapixel f/1.8 aperture camera is present on the backside of both tablets. The main camera is accompanied with features like OIS and quad-LED flash. There is a front-facing camera of 7-megapixel on both the devices. The new iPad Pro models come preloaded with iOS 11 that brings along a handful of new features such as new customizable dock that can be accessed from any screen, improved app switcher, and more, Gizmo China reported.
The iPad Pro 10.5 comes in colors like Space Gray, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. It comes in 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB storage choices that are respectively priced at $649, $749 and $949. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro comes in colors such as Space Gray, Silver and Gold. Its 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB are available for $799, $899 and $1,099, respectively. These pricings are of Wi-Fi only variants. Apple is also selling Wi-Fi with LTE models of the new iPad Pros.
