The latest incarnation of Apple's beloved iPad Pro is expected to be launched at the WWDC last Monday June 5, 2017.
All eyes are on Apple at its annual Word Wide Developers Conference as rumors abound that the iPhone maker is slowly losing its grip as industry leader in design innovation. The company is expected to announce several products and one of them is the 2017 iPad Pro 2.
According to 9to5mac, a new and much bigger iPad Pro is coming with screen real estate sized at 10.5 inch; slightly bigger than the original 9.7 inch iPad Pro. The initial rumors have been laid to rest by leaked 2017 iPad Pro 2 cases that showed its larger frame than the existing model of the tablet. But it's not the only iPad variant getting a refresh this year.
In a report by Tech Radar, the 12.9 inch model of the iPad Pro is rumored to be getting a 3 mm bump in its thickness. While most tablets and phones are getting slimmer, this increase is negligible and with the possibility of bringing the iPhone 7's waterproof feature, it is surely not worth fuzzing over with.
Given Apple's obsession on secrecy, it would not be a far fetched idea that none of these rumors will see the light of day. Except for the new 10.9-inch model which already has case makers rolling out products specific to its size, it's still anybody's guess what Tim Cook and company are going to announce. Suffice to say, Apple will still command a lot of attention come their biggest day of the year.
