While Google has yet to become a headline name in the tech industry, the search giant is clearly committed to establishing its Pixel range alongside the likes of the iPhone and Galaxy smartphones. And the Google Pixel 2 could be a big stepping stone to achieving this based on the latest major leaks.
Google Pixel 2: Display
A recent Google Pixel 2 leak is claiming a nearly bezel-free screen. According to a source, Google Pixel 2 will come in a 5.6-inch screen with a near 2:1 ratio of 2,560 x 1,312, placing the Pixel 2 in line with the Samsung S8 and LG G6.
Google Pixel 2: Specs
The Pixel 2 will is said to come and feature a 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip coupled by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. This would give the Pixel 2 the same amount of RAM as the Samsung S8, though more storage space as the latter which only offers 64GB of internal storage. The phone is also expected to run Android O out of the box.
Google Pixel 2: Cameras
The recent leak shows that the Pixel will sport a 12-megapixel camera capable of 4K recording that will be particularly welcome considering that this technology is now entering the mainstream. a front-facing 7-megapixel camera snapper for selfies. Beyond that, there are no further details about the camera, however, the previous generation Pixel phones featured one of the best cameras of its class.
Google Pixel 2: Price And Release Date
The upcoming Google Pixel 2 smartphone is also expected to be waterproof and very different in terms of look and feel. All told, Pixel 2 is believed to take the wraps off sometime around September or October, just like last year. However, there's no word on its official pricing yet, though, considering the specs, it is safe to say that the upcoming Google Pixel 2 would at least come with a price tag of $699.
