Meizu had unveiled its new budget phone the Meizu M5c at the end of May. The pricing of the phone was not yet confirmed, but now that it has arrived in Russia, its pricing has been revealed.
The Meizu M5c features a plastic body and the very look at it suggests that it is an affordable priced phone.The China-based company designed the phone to meet the needs of those customers who wish to own a feature-rich smartphone without spending too much money. In Russia, the smartphone is priced at 8,990 rubles (~$160) on the Russian version of the official website of Meizu, The Android Soul reported.
Li Nan president of Meizu said, "We designed the Meizu M5c specifically with our international customers in mind. We did what we do best by creating a device that our international customers would enjoy - compact in size, highly affordable and lasting you through more than a day."
The smartphone Meizu M5c sports a 5-inch display with HD resolution of 1,280 x 780 pixels. It is carrying 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB native storage. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera and is equipped with a 3,000 mAh capacity battery. It is powered by MediaTek MT6737 chipset. The cheaply priced phone also comes with AI feature called One Mind AI.
The smartphone has a support for 4G LTE band 20. Apart from Russia, the smartphone is expected to arrive in multiple markets such as Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, France, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Myanmar, New Zealand, Russia, Spain and Ukraine. The details about its pricing and the release date for other markets are not yet known. In the Russian market, the phone is coming in colors gold, black, red, blue and pink.
In July, Meizu is expected to launch the Meizu PRO 7 flagship phone. One of its unique selling features will be that it will be featuring a small-sized secondary ink screen below the dual rear cameras. It will display app notifications and call alerts.
